Hymn of the Day-(677) For All the Saints
Sermon- For All the Saints
P: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
P: In joyful expectation of the resurrection to life eternal, we remember before the Lord our departed family and friends whoa have gone before us in faith and all those who are in our hearts and minds this day as well.
P: I know my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth.
C: And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God. (Job 19:25-26)
P: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
C: Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness (2 Tim. 4:7-8)
P: Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies;
C: And whoever lives and believes in Me will never dies” (John 11:25-26)
P: For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord, ; and if we die, we die to the Lord.
C: So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. (Rom 14:7-8)
P: I go to prepare a place for you.
C: That where I am, you may be also. (John 14:3)
P: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
C: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:6)
P: Let us pray. Almighty God, we remember with thanksgiving those who loved and served You in Your church on earth and who now rest from their labors. Keep us in fellowship with all Your saints, and bring us at last to the joy of Your heavenly kingdom; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
